About this product
A microcontroller pin can supply about 20 mA. A motor wants hundreds of milliamps or more. The L298N module is the bridge between the two, and it is the workhorse driver of Indian robotics labs.
One board drives two DC motors forward and reverse, or a single bipolar stepper. Feed it 5 V to 35 V on the motor terminals, connect IN1 to IN4 for direction and the ENA and ENB pins for PWM speed control, and you have a complete drive system. The on-board 5 V regulator can even power your Arduino from the same battery when the motor supply is 7 V to 12 V, which keeps the wiring on a robot car tidy.
Screw terminals mean no soldering, and the heat sink handles a normal school robot load comfortably. Pair it with our BO motors and the 4WD chassis kit for a complete ready-to-code platform.
