About this product

This is the step up from a basic stabilisation board. The Pixhawk 2.4.8 runs a 32-bit STM32 processor with redundant IMUs, barometer and compass, and flashes with either ArduPilot or PX4 through the free Mission Planner or QGroundControl software on a laptop.

With the bundled M8N GPS module the drone can hold position, fly a list of waypoints drawn on a map, and return to home automatically on low battery or lost signal. For senior school and engineering students that opens up survey missions, precision agriculture demos and autonomous navigation projects that a toy drone simply cannot do.

The kit includes the flight controller, GPS with folding mast, power module, safety switch, buzzer, micro SD card for logs and the full cable set. Plan for a careful first setup session: radio calibration, accelerometer levelling and compass calibration all have to be done before the props go on.
