About this product
Every LiPo in a school lab needs a balance charger, and the IMAX B6 has been the standard answer for over a decade. It charges 1S to 6S lithium packs at up to 5A, balances each cell individually, and also handles NiMH, NiCd, Li-ion and lead-acid batteries used elsewhere in the robotics room.
The storage mode is the feature teachers appreciate most: one button brings a pack to the safe 3.8V per cell storage level before the term break, which is the single biggest thing you can do to make LiPos last. Delta-peak detection, capacity limits and a temperature cut-off protect against the usual beginner mistakes.
It needs an 11V-18V DC input, so order the matching power adapter if you do not already have a bench supply. Always charge inside a LiPo safety bag on a non-flammable surface and never leave a charging pack unattended.
