About this product

The MPU6050 combines a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope with a 16-bit converter on every channel, so it can tell you both which way is down and how fast the board is turning. Its on-chip Digital Motion Processor handles the heavy sensor fusion maths and leaves your Arduino free for everything else.

This is the sensor behind self-balancing robots, quadcopter flight controllers, gesture-controlled cars and step counters. Two I2C wires, SDA and SCL, are all it needs, and the on-board regulator makes it safe on 5V Arduino boards as well as 3.3V ESP32 and NodeMCU boards.

Libraries such as MPU6050_light and the Adafruit MPU6050 driver get a beginner to live pitch and roll readings in about ten lines of code, which makes this a satisfying second sensor after the ultrasonic.
