About this product
The 16x2 character LCD has been the default project display for decades. It is readable across a classroom, tolerant of rough handling and cheap enough to leave permanently mounted inside a project box. This one ships with the PCF8574 I2C backpack already soldered to the back.
That backpack is the important part. A bare 16x2 LCD eats up to sixteen connections plus a contrast potentiometer, while the I2C version needs only VCC, GND, SDA and SCL. Call lcd.print and keep the rest of your Arduino pins for sensors and motors. A screwdriver-adjustable trimmer on the board sets contrast.
Good for attendance systems, token and queue displays, digital thermometers, calculators, and any project a judge needs to read from a metre away.
