About this product
Pair the HC-05 module with an Android phone, open the free controller app, and the robot responds to your thumb in real time. Forward, reverse, left, right and speed all travel over a simple serial link, which makes this the easiest way to introduce wireless communication without touching Wi-Fi or networking theory.
The four-wheel drive chassis has enough torque for classroom floors, corridors and light carpet. Once the basic sketch is running, students usually go further on their own: adding headlights, a horn, a gesture-control mode using the phone accelerometer, or voice commands through a speech-to-text app.
Supplied as loose parts with screws, spacers, wires and a build guide. Soldering is limited to the motor terminals. Works with the popular Arduino Bluetooth RC Car app, and the AT command sheet for renaming the module and changing its PIN is included.
